O&R Utilities Employees Federal Credit Union is a unique financial institution. Unlike banks that are strictly profit-driven, we are not-for-profit and member-owned. We return excess earnings to our members in the form of lower interest rates for loans, higher yields on savings, and by adding new financial products and services.

Applying for Membership
To join the credit union you must open a Share Savings account. Deposit and maintain as little as $5.00 in this account, and you are immediately eligible for credit union membership.

Who Can Join
Employees who work regularly at entities engaged in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution industry in Albany,Broome, Bronx, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Renesselar, Richmond, Rockland, Schoharie, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster or Westchester Counties, New York: or Bergen County , New Jersey: or Pike County, Pennsylvania and, also include are spouses of persons who died while in the field of membership of this credit union, employees of this credit union, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment, volunteers, members of their immediate family or household, organizations of such persons and other legal or corporate entities in this charter.

Family Membership!
Once you have become a credit union member, you can invite your family members to join. Your entire immediate family are all eligible for credit union membership. This includes spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren, as well as stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings and adoptive relationships.

Once A Member, Always A Member
You're welcome to remain a credit union member for life, regardless of whether you change jobs, move, or retire. You can access your credit union financial products and services online, by mail, fax, phone, and at thousands of nationwide ATMs.
